College students are moody individuals to be sure, but even I might have taken up arms (or bows as the case may be) if my music program was going to be taken over by... THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT! At the University of Louisville the pep band is considering an all out boycott after they were informed that they were being taken over and reorganized into two separate groups. In addition the bands will be supplemented with non music school members from the community. Say it ain't so!
In other news of the day, several schools are doing the unthinkable, they are increasing their music education programs instead of cutting them back! What a great idea!
In still other news, the author of this web log resolves to be less sarcastic in the coming year... Experts put the success of this attempt at slim to none.
